Sustainability within The Buffalo Brewing Company
The Buffalo Brewing Company, (“TBBC”) was established in 2021 as Innscor Africa’s first manufacturing investment into the broader Alcohol Category.
The Company entered the opaque beer market with the Nyathi brand in December 2022 introducing a 1.25 litre Regular Sorghum Beer.
Key Sustainability Highlights
- TBBC has completed the installation of a malting plant. This allows TBBC to have significant control over the quantity and quality of malt used in the beer production process. This vertical integration will result in more efficient use of the raw material which in turn will drop the cost of production allowing for more competitive pricing.
- Installation of the power factor correction unit has also improved energy management.
- Water management initiatives include replacement of the reverse osmosis membranes, reclaiming filler rinse water and cooling tower overflow which have resulted in more efficient use of water.
